MALFUNCTIONING CAPACITORS

The disc still spins and the laser continues to move, but the game is not being read. After attempting for 5-10 seconds, it fails.

The discs are able to be read after the GameCube has warmed up for a longer period of time.

FAULTY LASER

If the laser does not detect a disc inserted in the disc tray, the disc will not spin and the game will fail almost instantly.
